Dr. Bob Cameron

DVM – Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Bob Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Allegheny College, located in Meadville, PA in 1973. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in 1977, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1980, both from the University of Georgia. He discovered his love for animals at a very young age, and in the 5th grade he decided he wanted to become a veterinarian. Throughout college and graduate school Bob prayed for the Lord to use him as He saw fit, which led him to his ultimate dream of becoming a veterinarian. Of all things, Dr. Cameron loves the challenges and opportunities that veterinary medicine provides. He has been at Riverside Veterinary Hospital since 1987 after spending 6 1/2 years practicing in Elizabeth City.

Dr Cameron is married to his beautiful wife, Pam, of 36 years. They have two talented children, David and Marybeth, and 7 family pets: Gracie, Puppy, Tiger, Cowee, Mozart, Muzette, and Gabriel. He belongs to the First United Methodist Church where he spends his Sundays as an active Sunday school teacher, participates as a bible study leader along with many other leadership roles in the church. When asked how Dr. Cameron likes to spend his spare time he replied, “What’s that?!” but does enjoy church work and time with his family. If Bob could relay one message it would be that God can do great things if we let Him use us.
